As it seems, between November 12 - 17, 2024 again the Zhuhai Airshow will be held and as I see it, it is welcoming foreigners this year again.
However from what I heard by colleagues around, due to the new internet security rules many rate it as too risky visiting the show nowadays.

Anyway, what can we expect to see? Are there already any rumours out?

Will the J-20A and the J-35 be present for the first time? What about the KJ-600, Y-20B, Z-20F/F or maybe even the new attack helicopter?

Deino, foreign media will be there and taking photos. I'm sure you will be fine.

I think laws are intended for people publishing un-authorized photos. Everything at air show is authorized. In fact, they want people to show those photos since it will help with export sales

Why would they arrest you for taking photos at a public airshow? Isn't that the whole point of a public airshow? Seems weirdly paranoid.

No, he'll be able to enter the country. He just won't be able to leave it.

Srs post: The actual risk to Deino is very tiny but it isn't zero. I wouldn't gamble even on such low risk just to attend an airshow.
Not taking photo. Accepting photos from wall climbers and publicizing PLAAF serials, which is important for OSINT.

And that's exactly my point! Thank you guys ...

But now back to the more important question - at least surely more important than me - what can we expect?

Will we see a J-35 for the first time? (IMO unlikely) ... or a Y-20B?

@Deino why not just have someone else whom you are working with that isn't appearing in the public view to visit the Expo on your behalf?

I personally really hope Deino can visit the Zhuhai Airshow this year. It will surely stir up excitement in half of China's military enthusiast community! Just imagine if Shi Lao and his team organize a live broadcast with Deino at the airshow, how interesting that would be! As for the safety and entry-exit issues, I don't think Deino's past controversial actions have violated any Chinese laws, so there's no worry about him being 'invited for tea' by the security or law enforcement authorities.
