Those helmets are interesting. They have two eye holes (?) which when the visor is flipped down I guess you can see out of them. In one of the pictures, you can see what looks like volume controls on the helmet with the person on the right of the picture.

What's the purpose of this visor? Protect face when jumping in to water?

I don't think so. The visor is to protect from extreme down-wash air from the propeller or wind. If one jump into the water and expects clear view, one need diving mask which seals around eyes and nose. If one jump in water with an open visor like this, water will splash inside and outside the visor. These people are rescuers lowered to the surface by the crane, they don't jump.

I was talking about impact force during high speed entry of water and wondering how would that supposed to work without a sealed helmet. But protect from down wash do make a lot of sense.
