Maybe it can fire missiles on targets indicated by drones?

Seems like it is making use of Z-20s greater carry capacity compared to Z-10 and making it into a sort of missile truck.

In US, it is called ESSS - External Store Supprt System. A detachable external store support.

PLAGF Aviation had experimented similar system on their S-70C Black Hawks a long time ago. This system can carry fuel tanks and weapons. It is time that Z20 should have a modernised version.

A PAP Z-20 (WJ51226) sports an upgraded nose optical turret and a satcom antenna is now installed on the tail.
