You can really see the Differences in Tail and engine frame. also note the length and size of the tail and wheel.

All the newer PLAN frigates and destroyers has tall hangers to accommodate the very tall Ka-27, and the blackhawk's design is characteristic for its low profile, I don't think the conditions match?

Anyway, just Googled a bit and found that, unlike the J-20 same time 2 years ago, this generated next to no buzz in the Western media, none of the major media outlets - even those of aviation / military specific - carried this news.

With the Holiday tomorrow, and the Death of Kalashnikov it's possible this slipped under the radar.

Indeed, the passing of a great man - the father of the iconic AK-47 - grabs the headline more than a "cheap Chinese knockoff of the Blackhawk helicopter" (well, the likes of CNN and BBC and Fox News will say that in more subtle language) taking first flight.

Anyway, just Googled a bit and found that, unlike the J-20 same time 2 years ago, this generated next to no buzz in the Western media, none of the major media outlets - even those of aviation / military specific - carried this news.

That's to be expected, this is just a medium lift helicopter that doesn't appear to have anything cutting edge. To the media there's little news value except maybe this is a "clone", but even then its not a surprise, just a platitude.

In comparison, the J-20 was a huge surprise to many people.
