For this kind of exercise, the gunners would just be hanging there, doing nothing. I am pretty sure there are live firing exercise just to train gunner for covering fire.

I think the Z-20 does allow infantries to mount their QBB-92s on the sides.
Does China have any new naval helicopters in the works? Something like the French's NH90
The current selection seems a little unsuitable, Z-9 seem too small for long ASW operations, while Z-18 is way too huge.

I'm assuming the Z-20F is the ASW version? Since it carries sonobuoys and that flat round thing under the nose (anybody know what that is?)From Huitong. The Z-20 mockup for 055 is different from that of 075. 055's mockup represents Z-20F; 075's represents Z-20J.
What is the Z-20J for? SAR?
