A new variant of Z-10 is apparently under development. The maiden flight took place at the end of last year.

Another one people were speculating about at end of last year. Unclear what major changes justify a new prototype.

What the Z-10 needs the most is thicker armour to make it more survivable from heavy and small arms fire from the ground.

Remind me of a British urban legend where the RAF were concerned the self-defence suites on their Typhoon jets were malfunctioning during take offs and landings because their RWR kept going off, with the self-defence suites automatically feeding the pilots firing solutions against nearby motorways.

After much investigation, it turned out traffic cops were using their radar speed guns to clock the fighter jets speeds as they were flying over motorways.
