This is said to be the prototype of latest variant under testing, with changes in engine and gun. Also note the rolls of dots on the panel just below the engine.

White paint is the primer coating for helicopters, just like the yellow paint for fixed wing aircraft.

Actually, the paint scheme on that one looks more like PLAN colors, eh?

Perhaps their Type 071 LPDs are going to get a newcomer soon...or better yet, if these are PLAN colors, perhaps this is the best indirect confirmation of an LHD building we could find.

To admit I don't think so ! IMO it is simply a white primer that is very much commonly used on several Chinese helicopters, including Z-10s (at least I have the earliest one from 2010) before.

I however would not exclude that the PLN sooner or later will get some ..

The number of this Z10 is Z10"?"-01. The number of "?" has been masked. Many think this is a new variant. My speculation - The masked "?" could be "B" for upgraded army variant or "P" for export to Pakistan or "H" for PLAN.
