What was the charges against her? There's plenty of illegals of all kinds in every country everyday,...but why pick on her? Did she possessed or sale any ban substances that made that officer to go after her? There's still plenty of question about this story.

She is denied entry for teaching Mandarin without a working permit.

Look at it this way. If God is all powerful, then he could have prevented the demolition easily. The fact that the demolition got carried out anyway means that the event was God's will. So, those who criticize the situation would basically be criticizing God's plans.

Not really Eng, but God has choosen the foolish to confound the wise, its never His will to hurt his children, those men and women built that church to bring Honor and Glory to God, but their faith is in their Lord Jesus Christ. Christians honor and respect Godly authority, no doubt they love their country, and their fellow man, and serve both honorably, they are His temple..and His witnesses.

I only hope that all those believers on the Sino Defense Forum will pray for the Chinese people, those who are believers, and those who aren't, these types of actions are a threat to all good men? aren't they?

Here is the Video. CALM AND RESPECTFUL ? The immigration officer was captured on video dragging the woman several feet, he then proceeded to shove, slap and punch her after she hit him with her handbag.

Yep, posted similar video on post 2262. I find the description outright laughable as the video no where supports "calm and respectful". Let's not forget, as an "authority", one's responsibility to act professional is far greater than the supposed perpetrator. That's why you get to wear the badge.

As far as we know, the destruction has nothing to do with God or religion, but the breaking of the building code. Anything beyond that is pure conjecture, including using the premises religion to go against the Chinese government, which we all know may meet that sort of fate.

MANILA, Philippines—An unruly Chinese tourist who created a scene at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) on Monday is likely to face direct assault charges to be filed against her by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for getting into a fight with one of its employees. The bureau identified the tourist as Jiang Huixiang, 38, allegedly a Mandarin language teacher at Xavier School in San Juan City, who arrived in the country via a Cebu Pacific flight from Beijing three days ago with no work permit but admission and multiple extension entries on her passport.Jiang was apparently the woman captured in a video circulating in social networking sites screaming and fighting off moves of Rashid Rangiris, an on-duty confidential agent of the BI, to push her into a room at the airport.

But a report from duty Immigration Supervisor Nelson Valdez said Jiang screamed at, hurled invectives, kicked immigration agents and bit the hand of a security guard at Naia Terminal 3 when she was denied entry upon her arrival on Monday.According to the report, the immigration officer at the counter referred Jiang for secondary inspection when he noticed that she had multiple extensions in her travel document since 2012.“After establishing that Jiang had violated immigration laws by not presenting a work permit, the officer calmly and respectfully informed her that she cannot be allowed into the country,” the bureau said. Jiang reportedly told authorities that she had been working as a language teacher on a tourist visa since 2012.Quoting witnesses, the report said Jiang immediately shouted at the immigration official after she was denied entry. This prompted Rangiris to come over and ask her to calm down. But Jiang allegedly screamed and hurled invectives at the immigration employee.

Illegal workers or illegal immigrants of any kind have broken the law and done something wrong by doing what they have done. Businesses or people who hire them have also at least done something wrong if not something outright criminal. Governments or members of the authorities who allow any of this to happen are failing their citizens and are therefore incompetent or corrupt or both.

The immigration officer in question may be guilty of using excessive force but the woman in question is guilty of breaking immigration law in the first place and obstruction of justice if she had refused to obey the instructions of the immigration officer.

Listen, if God is all powerful, then he doesn't need people's approval. Moreover, those people who built that church don't exactly have their faith in Jesus, since your holy book describes Jesus went around helping people instead of building cathedrals.

People build buildings to glorify themselves, and God is just used as an excuse. This has been the case in ancient times, and is still the case now. The underlying mentality is no different than that of billionaires who try to out compete each other with the tallest building.

Actually Ace, Solomon's temple was built to God's specifications, and it was a place for God's people to gather to offer sacrifices for their sins, and to receive forgiveness of the same and to Worship and Honor God. Jesus did fortell the destruction of the temple by the Romans, and also the rebuilding of the Temple prior to His return. I do see your point and it is really a very good point Eng, but you and I know the implications of the Chinese churches destruction, and the tearing down of their statues. I consider you a valuable friend and mentor, you are part of the reason I am here, I hope you are right and I am wrong about the govts motivation, but this move has caused millions of Christians around the world sorrow and heartache for our Chinese brothers and sisters. Maybe as harmful??? is that ultimately, those same Christians will question China's statement that they desire to be "partners and friends" and that brother is possibly the greatest damage of all? brat

Let's eliminate the religious beliefs here. If it's an illegal building, it's an illegal building. If people are going to hide behind religion to break the law then that's the reason why authorities are going to tear it down. We've seen people stop mosques from being built in the US. I know about Buddhist temples receiving protests. All were done "legally" under the law, therefore no one had a problem. Then there should be no complaint about illegal churches being torn down. Some think it has nothing to do with what's illegal or not but everything having to do with a problem Christianity. The same can be said about mosques and Buddhist temples.

Why? Just because it's a Christian church? Would you agree that building codes need to be respected and that illegal buildings should be torn down? Would you agree that everyone, regardless of religion, creed, or race, should be held to the same accountability before the law?
