Those bikers weren't suppose to occupy all the lanes on the highway in the first place if they're riding in groups, plus the biker guy that slowed down was supposed to signal or hand gestures to let the nearest on coming vehicle to know that they're passing through. From my experience in Houston I encounter them sometimes at night, but they're more courteous about it. One of the bikers would pass by my car a little bit and look back at me and hand gesture to me to allow room for his group to pass by, but he NEVER slow down like that on the video, he still maintain the flow of traffic. I think some of these morons forgot that they don't own the road. Common courtesy would have prevented all this drama and injuries.

Well the biker who posted the video took it down. Stupid to put it up in the first place obviously thinking they're were the innocent party and putting up the video was to garner sympathy but instead the opposite happened. Now it's being used to identify people to arrest which is why the biker removed it.

As I'm typing this post I'm watching CNN report the latest and they seem to blame the SUV driver. They're only talking about the SUV driver's actions. They don't mention what the bikers were doing. They're interviewing some motorcycle bike club leader from Los Angeles and anyone can guess his position. He brings up his own incidents dealing with drivers. Like that has anything to do with this case. Can the documented incidents on YouTube of the past of this very group of bikers the public are pointing to be used against them in this case? And he talks about how these bikers are just trying to get home to their families and someone runs them over not at all mentioning this was unlawful stunt in the first place.

Vladimir Putin nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Vladimir Putin has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Despite Russia’s role as the main supplier of weapons to Bashar al-Assad’s regime, an advocacy group has put the president’s name forward because the former KGB agent “actively promotes settlement of all conflicts arising on the planet.”

The International Academy of Spiritual Unity and Cooperation of Peoples of the World made no mention of Putin’s ruthless and violent campaign against the separatists in Chechnya or the war he waged on Georgia, but instead points to his efforts to prevent a US air strike on the Syrian regime following a chemical gas attack in August.

The activist group is on the list of those approved to make Nobel Peace Prize nominations and according to the vice president of the organisation, Beslan Kobakhiya, this letter of recommendation was received by the committee on 16 September, he announced on Tuesday.

The letter read: “Being the leader of one of the leading nations of the world, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin makes efforts to maintain peace and tranquillity not only on the territory of his own country but also actively promotes settlement of all conflicts arising on the planet,” reported the New York Times.

Russian singer and MP Iosif Kobzon also backed the nomination, comparing Putin with Barack Obama, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.

He told Interfax news agency: “Barack Obama is the man who has initiated and approved the United States' aggressive actions in Iraq and Afghanistan - now he is preparing for an invasion into Syria. He bears this title nevertheless.

“Our president, who tries to stop the bloodshed and who tries to help the conflict situation with political dialogue, is more worthy of this high title.”

The deadline for 2014 Nobel Peace Prize nominations is in February. The winner of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on October 11.

The prize is awarded to “the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”.

Vladimir Putin did not influence the nomination and according to Kobzon “ being a modest person, will refuse to comment on it.

That would be funny but I doubt it. If Putin wins, it's really about Obama not Putin. It would be a gauge of what Europe thinks about Obama despite all the other issues Europe has a problem with Putin. Yeah, I know all of Europe doesn't pick who wins but they're more of the same mind than with Americans.

Yeah, that's CNN for ya. But I watched ABC NEWS and read online news from both Yahoo and MSN most of the comments are against the bikers illegal action and pitted the SUV driver.

The Tom Clancy Brand will continue for sometime I just finished reading the third of the Tom Clancy End war novels which were written under his brand based on his video games based on his novels.

Vlad gets brownie points for Syria to a degree, But the War is still brewing the WMD has not even been touched yet. His work with the Russian Economic reforms but he has a bloody record with dissidents. and there is a lot of controversy about the Russian apartment bombings that started the second Chechen war.

Jack Ryan is his best character created by him

Unlike Ian Fleming who actually served in British intelligence during the second world war. Tom Clancy had to come into and create Jack Ryan based more on a fertile mind. Rather then the fantasies (lets face it 007 was Fleming's wet dreams) or reality of a operations agent.

I like Red Storm Rising! I think I must've read it 4 or 5 times over as a teenager. I prefer his earlier works but then again I don't believe he has written any book all by himself since the mid 90's.

Like i said Tom Clancy brand. His name and characters are more a brand now. Like how new Bond books are still written despite the fact that Fleming is long gone. There will still be new books carrying on Jack Ryan and related character stories. There will Still be Ghost recon, Splinter Cell and Rainbow six videogames. Its slated that year or maybe after that another Jack Ryan based movie will come out likely with a touching "For Tom" now added. What he has become is another way of describing a specific genre of techno thriller, and the echo's of his typewriter will continue to be heard.
