The skill level between the higher ranked and lower ranked teams in the first round games of each group.

me and my fds wanted to place last minute bet on germany today, but it closed already, so now we have our bucks on italy tomorrow. these are easy times to make money, but once the matches go a bit further down the road, it will really start to mean something

Lost my main multibet with England going down, but still got two $5 multis going as interest only. They both had Germany as the anchor , and one had the korean win as well, now I need Camaroon, Italy, Netherlands and Slovakia to win. The other $5 bet which is now worth $8 because of the german win, I might put on Eng again eh?
However im a little nervous with the Netherland Denmark game

What's his criteria of a higher skill team and how can he be so sure the higher skill team will win? Quite a few of the thought to be better teams got booted out by the thought to be not so good teams.
Besides, that's a rather selfish way of thinking. The idea of the World Cup is to get as many countries involved as possible, right down to the big moment in the final rounds. I don't think there'll be a lot of interest in it if the rest of most of the countries in the world are expecting only to see a few privilege countries play in the World Cup. There'll be no hope and excitement in these countries of doing the impossible of bringing the World Cup home. They might as well sleep through the night than staying up at odd hours to watch the already unreachable World Cup.
