i'd put bet SK wins over greece, otherwise, argentina and england are my bets as well.
wts ur bet for last year's final?

If you bet SK, believe me or not, you'll lose? Argentina 99% win while England is only 60%. As far as I know Beckham is out of this world cup. I remember an article called Beckham and his teams as "The ten heroic lions and a stupid boy", but without this stupid boy, I really can't imagine what the English team would be.

i never count on beckham. he always disappoints me. first time i watched him was when his penalty went ASAT (straight for the moon). i was like "wow so that's the beckham ppl were screaming bout?"

then last year, he's injured again...and this year..again. he never get too far

Argentina werent all that convincing during the qualifying phases

Beckhams not in the English team. I don't think Ferdinand is playing in the US Game and other key players form have been indifferent, so it could be rather interesting, though theoretically they have the easiest draw through the competition.

I don't bet on longshots or exotic betting mainly near certainties. I rememeber one year my wife got a nice tax refund, out of interest sake sake she gave me half of it to bet with, and she didn't care whether I lost it. but I only chose what i considered were certainties. eg during theoff season top clubs visit asia and play friendlies etc etc I bet on Manchester United playing 2 Chinese clubs and each time I could get $1.11 to $1-15 on MU at William Hills etc, man over the year I got over 100% for her. It was the easiest couple of grand I ever made. (It took a whole year though, its a matter of having patience and waiting for those gift bets.)

I believe Argentina is good in qualifying phases, but when it gets near the final, you better be careful. I don't even remember when it last got the world champion.

The English team has many star players like Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard... I wonder why they never got any world champion --- world cup or european cup.

Can anybody confirm if Drogba of the Ivory Coast team will show up in world cup?

some of their players are a bit old , Messi is good though, I hope he shows up. I would be very surprised if they dont make the quarters though. THey last won the cup in 86? I think

I vaguely hearing some news that he was rejoining his team after surgery on fractured arm, last week, but what are his chances for playing?

Meanwhile Rooney whose been the star for M/U this season, might do the same for Eng. depends if the midfielders can dominate and get the ball to him, as i said though theyre in the easiest group.

I had a family of far-off relatives visit from America last year. The kid played in a soccer team, and the dad was coach. They were extatic when they saw soccer on television (featuring some lousy local showdown). First of all, none of them had seen adults play soccer, secondly they'd never seen professionals (or what could pass as that, concidering the nature of the local teams), and thirdly, they'd never seen soccer on television. They were literally glued to the screen all through the game.

Perhaps they did not have cable TV or satellite TV..There's plenty of "futbol" on cable and satellite Tv in the USA.
