Did you not notice in my earlier post that I was going to "put the mockers on the English team"

If the English win I will be a embarrased , unhappy, but a few $ richer because of my bet

Wanna say something on this thread.... I didn't watch the match last night but seeing online live score on my mobile. However, I did predict the result for the matches last night; South Africa at least has a draw while the France never win.

English team? England has among the best teams in world's league club --- Manchester United, Chelsea... but I really never see them winning any champion for their national club. Does anybody know the reason? France? They're getting worse. They recently lose to the Chinese team in a friendly match. That's sound like a joke to us --- the football (soccer) watchers. But if you look at past experience, the France team always play a tie from the beginning and try to win at the end.

In sporting circles suchs as Rugby and Soccer, its often speculated on whether the French are gonna play their A game or their B Game.

THeir A games is the French at their brilliant best, and their B game/ the players seem to be disinterested/ casual/etc, and hence a sub par performance

English sporting team success?

Yes the days are long gone when the English sporting Lion ran out onto the playing field and everyone(thats us in the colonies, fell down in fear)

The trouble with England sporting successs in international soccer cricket etc is because the Clubs have too many imported players, eg European African, Scots, Irish, South American, Koreans even, thus denying a chance for the locals to gain top class experience

At over 6kg of solid gold I wouldnt mind having it. Too big and you wont bwe able to lift it

I had no idea it was solid gold..Thanks for the info.

8) If soccer is so popular why does the National Football League have the highest average attendance of any sports league in the World?? 68,000 per game..

Stadium size is one of the reasons. But remember that at the same time the NFL is going on in the US College football is in season drawing even bigger crowds.. not to mention the NFL and NHL are at the start of their seasons. And baseball is at the end of it's season and enjoying it's playoffs and World Series in September and October.

I think most persons reading my post seem to think I think American football is more popular than soccer. I never stated that. I'm just stating the NFL draws bigger crowds. That's all. We all know soccer is the number one sport in the World. Period.

To each his own.

If you bet, here are the best teams tonight from my prediction:
Greek [H.G: 0] S. Korea, --> Greek
Argentina [H.G 1/1.5] Nigeria --> Argentina
England [H.G 1/1.5] U.S.A --> England

I wonder if you bet European or Asian style, if European, you better expect Greek and S. Korea a draw while Argentina and England win for sure.

The above is just my prediction, the decision is yours ;)

Whats Asian style of Betting:

My major bet is to select up to 6 wins in the first round paying an average of say $1-50/60/65 and put $200 all up.

I have won on several occassions the last World cup bet returned me over$3000 for that sorta outlay and that was backing ENG Land Germany Holland, to win in the first 2 rounds.

I would like to bet a south korea win :D although a tie is very possible since greek is very defensive if i remember correctly.

Asian bet mean bet with handicap goals like what I stated above, and European bet mean you have 3 choices A wins, Draw and B win. Multiple teams bet applies to both Asian and European bet. However, there are more kinds of bet than the above stated such as correct-score, over-under and so on...
