Police overpowered the man and freed his hostage, a female bank employee, at a highway gas station in the western province of Upper Austria, 470 kilometres (292 miles) away from the robbery, where he stopped because his hostage needed to use the toilet, Austria's interior ministry said.

Royal Australian Air Force in action!

The crowds at the Indy 300 were treated to a high class aerial performance by a Tiger helicopter that flew over the circuit displaying some of its capabilities. The Army helicopter is part of the Oakey based Army Aviation Training Centre.
