Thai soldiers took a rest after patrolling near Government House in Bangkok, a day after violent clashes rocked the Thai capital, leaving one person dead and 400 injured. The army was deployed on the streets of Bangkok on Tuesday after the worst political violence since 1992. Protesters continued a six-week sit-in outside the prime minister's office, forcing the government to conduct its business from a former international airport.

Lower Right: Cambodian people who run their business at Rong Cleur market on the Thai side of Thai-Cambodian border in Poipet rushed back to Cambodia after hearing the news of the fight in Preah Vihear.

According a local news paper, The Kok Santepheap, amount the three points of the fight on the Oct 15, the Thai soldiers who attack near the temple disarm themselves and surrendered to Cambodian army. They were treated well and were not really taken as prisoners and were all free later on. However the Thai side still deny that they had any soldier being captured by Cambodian army.

A bomb planted near a mosque in the Shaab neighborhood of north Baghdad killed three Shiite worshipers as they left Friday Prayer. At a mosque in Samarra, worshipers were searched before they entered the Al-Askari mosque to attend prayer. A mass protest called for by the radical Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr to demonstrate against the American presence in Iraq is scheduled for tomorrow. Iraqi leaders are working on a new draft of a military pact with Washington that would set the terms of an American troop presence beyond this year.
