Re: World Armed Forces Pic Thread

The problem is that we never ever see PLA wear it. We often get a glimpse of active special forces operating against drug cartels in SouthWest China. Even those active combat units don't wear ballistic vests. That's scary. Those drug dealers/gangs have at least handguns. Many of them from Vietnam and Myanmar even have assault rifles.

If I get sent there without a ballistic vest, I'll literally sue my generals in the military court.

Yeah but most of those drug gangs don't have their own helicopter fire support system when a drug raid does occur. If they even fire a single shot at the police a missile or rocket would be raining down on them before the bullet even hits the assault team unit. All in all cops in China will always out man and out gun their perpetrator.

These ROK Marines are as tough as nails. Those are some interesting weapons they carried with them. It looks like an MP-5 with a standard NATO 5.56 rounds and an assault rifle barrel.

Aren't they all carrying either the K1 or k2? I don't see any MP5 lookalike there.

He's Right. The Standard Korean Military long arm is the Daewoo K1 and K2. the K1 is a Sub carbine with a 10.4 inch barrel and folding stock which could lead too some confusion. It's not it should be noted A simple Short barrel version of the K2 like the M4 is of the M16A2 because the K2 is piston operated well the K1 is Direct impingement.
