to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) approaches
the guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG 76) to conduct a
fast-rope evolution during exercise Jackal Stone 2009. Jackal Stone is
a series of training exercises in various locations throughout Croatia
to promote cooperation and interoperability between the special

HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan (Sept. 18, 2009) U.S. Navy Hospital
Corpsman Daniel W. Clemons and an Afghan National Army medic treat an
Afghan man for an infection from a spider bite. Clemons, from Houston,
Tex., is assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment; the combat
element of Regimental Combat Team 3. The battalion is to conducting
counter insurgency operations in partnership with Afghan national

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (Sept. 19, 2009) A member of the U.S. Navy
demonstration parachute team, the Leap Frogs, prepares to land at the

Internationale BMX World Cup. The team jumped into the event to raise
awareness about Naval Special Warfare. The Leap Frogs are based in San

The EA-6B Prowlers participated as friendly "blue air forces" during the exercise.
