OKINAWA, Japan (June 20, 2008) The amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) is guided by a tugboat into White Beach Naval Facility in Okinawa to offload the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit after a successful spring patrol. (June 20, 2008) U.S. Navy divers from Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2 wait at the surface of the Providence River for the approval to begin a dive on the sunken former Soviet submarine Juliett 484 in Providence. The submarine sank at her mooring point in about 30 feet of water during a nor'easter, which struck Providence in April of 2007.
