06.07.2014...The National Guard supports Exercise Saber Strike and helps America reassure our allies: The West Virginia National Guard flew in two Pennsylvania National Guard (PANG) Stryker platoons of eight vehicles and 90 Citizen-Soldiers split between the two Baltic countries. Additional #NationalGuard Soldiers are taking other roles in Saber Strike. The National Guard builds global partnerships: The platoon in Lithuania is training with the Lithuanian Iron Wolf Brigade and Danish Battle Group. Meanwhile, the PANG's 193rd Special Operations Wing, including joint tactical air controllers from the 148th Air Support Operations Squadron, just completed the Flaming Sword exercise in Lithuania, working with troops from multiple nations.
