I wish the USA NAVY SEALS a HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY. The Unit is much admired especially by those who know what it takes to be a NAVY SEAL. The Officers & Men have carried out special operations (inc. successful extermination of the terrorist leader OBL last year); & have also made personal sacrifices (away from families etc). Continue the good work.

I Hope he just hit the wrong smiley or button.
Note the M4 carried in the last pic looks like it's been painted tan ( although it could just be a layer of sand.) the Army has approved camouflage painting of weapons but under strict regulations.

I say it's partially painted. Look at the other barrel, it has the same brown tone color as the one that soldier's holding.

Trouble is. if it is I think it's out of regs.
Army times said:
The regulations will not eliminate all black on the weapon. To keep the weapon firing and accurate, certain components shouldn’t be painted. The safety selector, magazine release, magazine catch, trigger and forward assist are all off-limits.

Additionally, TACOM said not to paint the barrel and front sight assembly because the heat from multiple discharges will burn the paint off anyway.
