USN describes complex, challenging Houthi attacks. Despite this being basically the only somewhat high-end threat the USN has fought since WW2, they've performed fairly well so far and managed to avoid any casualties up to now. I'd say this is evidence training only will also be enough for the PLAN and previous combat experience isn't a necessity.

To be fair in the CSIS war games all of ETC have less cruise/ballistic missile than the Houthis.
