Lockheed Martin awarded $218M contract to supply M142 HIMARS to Romania . . .



The contract, announced Friday by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), is worth more than $218 million is provide procurement of 18 M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems launchers, associated training, spares and planned enhancement and product improvement modifications.

The DoD also noted that all work will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 30, 2020.

If you want simple don't go looking into modern military aviation.

The mission demands that Osprey was started for are a stretch of the possible. It was to create a means of transporting troops and equipment at a turboprop range but with vertical take off and landing. The Navy and Marines though added that is needs to be able to operate off a naval ship and inside the hanger space of a LHD. These are beyond the ability of a conventional rotorcraft or fixed wing transport. But those too were once beyond the "Simple".

Language in the bill specifically stops the delivery of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters to Turkey—a NATO ally and one of the first international partners on the program dating back two decades. actually out of several "game changers" (I think you know what programs I mean), the Osprey is the one I personally like, well I'm aware of its "widow-maker" label,

and stuff, but still think the US SF need this type of speed
