Purdue has opened a new hypersonic research / test facility which includes the only quiet Mach 8 wind tunnel in the world. The facility also includes a HYPULSE tunnel that uses a shock wave of high-temperature air to recreate specific hypersonic flight conditions. It allows flight simulations at speeds ranging from Mach 5 to as high as Mach 40.

Edit: According to the link,
Quiet wind tunnels more closely simulate flight and provide more accurate data than conventional hypersonic wind tunnels. A better understanding of when and how airflow over a surface changes from smooth to turbulent is essential in the successful design of expendable and reusable hypersonic vehicles. Purdue currently is home to one of only two working Mach 6 quiet tunnels in the country.

I heard from a couple Canadian Soldiers that you can't swear and yell. They made the Canadian military kinder and gentler. Welp wish me luck because I am applying for RMC.
Lot more ''emotional damage'' lately...

Training is softer than before for sure, physical exam are less demanding too. It's just that the people going in military have changed a lot and not a lot of young peoples don't want to commit for a couple of months at the same job, imagine 25 ? So they are sweetening the pill to get whatever they can at the detriment of a good working system.

But Kinder and gentler is clearly not the mojo of the administrative side of the military tho, It's still a haystack.

Are you angling to become an officer in the Canadian Military? Royal Military College based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada if am not mistaken. I just hope that you and all of the Canadian Armed forces won't be used or part of any armed conflict with China over Taiwan. That would be a great tragedy and irony on your part, especially if you're ethnically Chinese when it's your duty and obligation to kill your fellow Chinese in China per your role as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Having said all of that, good luck, be safe, and much success to your endeavor.
Thanks I am trying to be MPO (Military Police Officer) However I am dealing with army's fucking bureaucracy where I still haven't gotten response and it's fucking June. I had to accept my other offers but I am willing to switch to RMC if the army can get it's shit together. I might consider joining Wagner after I complete my ROTP contract or join YRP because for some reason they pay higher than RCMP and OPP

Also they are accepting perminant residents. I saw a lot of people in recruiting centers with Indian passports.

Man, just stay within Canada rather than joining with Wagner group. Unless of course you want to see some action on an active battlefield or something. Anyway, I don't want to pollute this thread with unrelated topic, so am just going to say good luck to you and again much success into your chosen profession. Military life is very challenging and can be rewarding as well.

Welp

‘Spare parts’ here is a term that could refer to items ranging from multi-million dollar F135 turbofan engines to tiny screws used to attach landing gears and flaps. The GAO report cites, in particular, dozens of missing actuator doors costing over $91,000 each, as well as 14 batteries averaging $150,000 each in cost.

Imagine letting a corporation dictate your logistics over IP concerns
Historically, Lockheed has often sought to beat back the Pentagon’s attempts to acquire more data and control over F-35 logistics, due to what the company
