“The turret is of aluminum alloy armor construction. ”I was quite shocked when I saw this paragraph.
A lot of news is currently highlighting the similarity of the turret to the Abrams tank, but they don't even mention that it's aluminum armor.

I haven't paid attention to MPF, so I'm surprised to know this. Now I can understand why the U.S. Army is unwilling to call MPF a tank.

In the discussion on Zhihu, many people ridiculed that Americans should use design schemes based on T-55 or T-64.

From what I found about aluminium alloy armor:
"Crystallized aluminum oxide, better known as corundum, is a surprisingly feasible armor choice. It's extremely strong, the definition of a 9/10 on the Mohs scale. Normal steel has a hardness of 4-4.5 and hardened steel has a hardness of 7.5-8. What this means is that a steel blade, even a tempered one, wouldn't scratch the armor. In fact, the armor would be more likely to scratch it!"

Hardness is not the relevant parameter for armor, it is toughness (tensile strength).

Aluminum oxide is brittle. Quartz glass can scratch steel too, don't see anyone advocating for glass armor.

Funny how when war with Russia is on the table, suddenly recruitment drops like a rock.

And they blame the labor market in a recession.

There are lots of social media post complaining about army life, low pay, injuries, bad housing, and how officers are corrupted/terrible. Especially more troublesome is that there is a base in southern us where there has been many rapes/murders/suicides.

Any samples you can provide
Not army but navy has examples:

1. Bad housing: aircraft carrier sailors forced to sleep in their cars when they're at base.
