That happened because of the avionics not working as they should. The avionics hardware upgrades vastly upgraded the capabilities of the MiG-31 but the system isn't stable enough. I wouldn't blame it on the aviators.

As I read the F-35 accidents best part of them was due to human-machine interfacing issue.


Usually the interfacing of complicated systems represent 10-30% of all development cost.

And finally, hiding of accidents, do you think the USA make public the accidents involving example the B-21 bomber, or other highly classified project issues ?

Many cases the best argument is "the USA transparent" , but example the B-2 project was dark from cradle, means any accidents involving it was dark as well.

really, one liners like this give snark a bad name. Besides with duck in the name that should be for a Navy fighter.

F15 A-D were officially named as Eagle. That production line ended and the F15E as Strike Eagle carried on. F15E variants each in turn got authorized names from some end users and by Boeing. F15I Ra’am for the IDF, F15K SLAM Eagle for the ROK. The basis of the F15EX was marketed by Boeing as the F15 Advanced Eagle.
Now unlike the C130J or F/A18E the differences between the last approved USAF F15 block and the EX are primarily avionics, changes were made to the wings to plus new engines. These changes are smaller than those made between the F15E and F15D, however much smaller than the changes made between F18D and F/A18E. Where in the Hornets and Super Hornet are completely different aircraft with only minor cosmetic resemblance.
The F15EX will carry equipment intended originally for the so called Golden Eagles a number of F15C and Ds that had been intended to serve out to 2040. However 10% of the F15C and D fleet are grounded and 75% have flown beyond intended life cycle already leading to the new buys. It’s the same rationale that justifies the bulk of the Russian Airforce buys of SU35 and MiG 35.
