This is just too good on so many levels
- Boeing
- Canard aka J20 clone after decade of claiming canard isnt stealth (and of all the NGAD concepts they picked this one)
- 47 because Trump is 47th
- Just starting design now while China already flight testing two
- High profile announcement with only CG, while China announced with flight over city

Its just so pathetic, if I were American I will proberbly also start doing copium

Remember how the fanboys always claimed that “canards only belong on the enemy’s fighters”? Is this a tacit admission that Trump and Boeing are enemies of America?

So it was the X-planes that flew for 100s of hours, not the F-47 prototype itself.

In that case, I don't see how that's any different from China's case with the J-20S + That delta-winged aircraft seen at Chengdu in 2021/2022 + Another delta-winged aircraft seen at Shenyang just last December (plus some other still unknown aircrafts) - All of which have been acting as the J-36's and J-XDS' X-planes for the past few years.

A tight service induction race between the J-36 + J-XDS versus the F-47 indeed.
Look up X48 and X56 and how big they actually are. Also keep in mind China's 6th gen Xplanes first flew in 2012

JSF was awarded to LM in 2001, LRIP started early 2010s and 35B entered service in 2015. Even if you ignore how Boeing hasnt designed an actual fighter since the 1970s, and if you ignore their record on everything else, just the fact that they just awarded the contract to Boeing, while J36 is already in 2011 J20 state means if there were any race, that race ended years ago

Again, can we stop it with the canards talk? We have no idea if the actual plane actually has them. It's just a piece of concept art.
We have no idea if it will ever even exist either judging by Boeing's capabilities and America's financial situation.

But thats the official render, so nope we'll talk about it for the rest of time, Aamerica will never get to live down copying J20

We will at least see the prototype.

If you look at lockheed and northdrop's official artwork for their 6th gen concepts, they all look very different from render to render, despite lockheed and northdrop likely having finalized their designs years ago. It's actually quite rare for the concept art to look like the actual plane.

And feel free to troll America about it, but you will look real dumb if the actual plane doesn't actually have canards. Just wait a while, if Boeing releases a dozen more renders of the plane and they are all consistent and feature canards, then it's basically confirmed. Or wait until we see actual photos of the prototype flying. But with just a single rendered picture, it's not good proof.

Ok this part literally made me laugh. Welcome to the Democratic People's Republic of America.:D
This contract reaffirms our commitment to maintaining the United States’ position as the world’s most dominant Air Force, under the direction and leadership of our Commander in Chief, President Trump, and Secretary of Defense Hegseth.

From what i can read then in 2028, IF there are no delays, the EMD F-47 will fly. So China will have had a 4 year headstart. Plus, considering how politicized the F-47 is, it's not out of the question that the next US "admin", if from the other political camp might cancel it just to spite Trump and his supporters.
