There are a lot of chicken-hawks, nutjobs and sheeple around. Remember a lot of "Westerners" (especially Americans) have been brainwashed for decades to believe that their side is the good side, no matter what.
Damn, for such lowly forces DPR troops are pulling a lot of weight. How come their combat performance in the last two days have been so good?
They are proper veterans. They have been fighting the Ukrainians for all these years and all they needed was Russia's push and now they are moving forward.
A nuclear armed Iran might not be in the best interest of Russia geopolitically long term. Both countries have had a turbulent relationsship/rivalry in the past and a fair bit of unresolved "business". They share a common rival in the US for now but one has to remember that today's friend may be tomorrow's enemy. If Iran gets nuclear weapons, neither the US or Russia would have the slightest leverage anymore.
To achieve nuclear deal with Iran the USA needs gurantee to not walk back like Trump did in the future.
