They aren’t finding a buyer. They are ditching it.
They were just extracting profits. Shell didn't want to fund the latest extension of the project and Russia had to do it themselves.
The West has been stiffing Russian investments for a long time. Russia stopped caring. For example US companies were supposed to invest in Yamal, they didn't because the US government forbade them, and China stepped in.
"Ditching it" means selling it. You think they'll just abandon for free willingly. You are quite innocent.

FYI AvtoVAZ generates like 8% of French Renault's profits worldwide. That is a real investment. And is one example of what these companies are going to lose if their countries insist on this kind of policy.

Four Russian navy ships have been waiting for a decision from Turkey on whether or not they’re allowed to transit the Bosporus strait; this is after Turkey announced it would strictly enforce the Montreux Convention. Two of the warships are confirmed to be a destroyer and frigate respectively by Turkish sources.

Silly question but Is Russia against Ukraine joining EU or just against them joining NATO?
russia is against anything that can lead to nuclear weapons not their own being placed on their borders.

what clinched their decision to do this by force ie no doubt US withdrawal from the intermediate range nuclear force treaty, which means nuclear weapons suitable for use in an attack from ukraine against all of russia proper will be available for deployment in Ukraine.

Russia's land based strategic forces are typically deployed in the middle of the country. Not close to Europe.

I was saying that EU and NATO are two sides of the same coin, I still say so. The willingness of EU to sacrifice its economy is the proof. Economy is everything, NATO is just a tool to serve the economy. US influence in NATO is not an excuse for EU countries to jump on the war wagon. If one pull the trigger, one is responsible for the outcome, ordered, forced or willingly make no difference.
