Can someone explain why 3 mile long Russian Armor column of over 800 vehicles is sitting 20km from Kiev for over 24 hours ?

waiting for a TB2 or Ukrainian tank buster team ?

huge waste of men and material

move or go home too vulnerable
The negotiation at the Belarus border will begin in under two hours (delayed again! Should be happening right now according to original schedule). If the negotiation does not go well then you know what's coming.

With RU armor lining up. They have lost the element of surprise. Would be shame if grads starts raining on them if talk fails.

This is just a guess based on my experience. 1 would be logistics since Russia has taken hits in their logistic vehicles the past 48 hours. 2 would be they are in their staging area wsiting for orders to act as power punch. 3 reports are coming in that the urkrianian aa missle defense system is out of BUKs, they are preparing for a coordinate hit with air. (Kinda ties to 2) 4 would be the peace talks.

Those are my thoughts.

i am going to leave this here. i think he has a interesting analysis. any thought?

Yeah if part of this analysis has some truth to it, Ukraine is fucked badly (unless Putin gets literally couped or the RAF has a mass munity).
Russia have the reserves and weapons to beat the Ukrainians regardless of how badly they did at the start.

Every extra Russian loss because of Ukrainian military reforms + Western weapons will vindicate Putin and his Putinites in their minds. Motivated reasoning would be something like, "if the losses are already so bad, we are justified in taking action before things get worse." There'll be no walk back because that path is death for Putin like for the Argentinean Junta.

So let's hope Russia gets good concessions, enough to call it a victory? Except the West has already destroyed any off-ramp.

Looking at reddit and twitter and noting the censorship in the west against RT and Russian media (DDOS attacks, outright bans), i can't help but note a casual cruelty and blitheness that the western audience has towards war. They have never experienced war themselves, so eagerly bray for it. War is sweet to those who have never experienced it- Pindar
