In my view going for major cities is not the best strategy if you're Russia. Urban fighting offers the most chances for asymmetric warfare, especially where Ukrainians are more familiar. If you have an advantage in terms of mechanized armor, the best option would be to seize the countryside and trap your opponents in urban centers, ala the Chinese civil war.
Exactly what Russia is trying to do. Bad idea to send your mechanized forces into downtown Kyiv, where it then becomes a war of attrition.

Instead, Russia will try to surround Kyiv and send you special forces to take out specific targets and install a brand new movement. Except this will never work, the Ukrainian people will never accept this.

Anyone suggesting that China and Russia should betray each other havent been following the global developments of the past few years.
If anything, China should send weapons to help out Russia so that they can deal maximum damage to the West and their interests.

If Russia fails, China will be next in line for the West to push NATO close to their border. Anyone who doesnt get that shouldnt even be here in this forum. Russia's victory is China's victory, and vice versa. Whatever destroys western interests will serve both of them.

Hell, even a little kid throwing shit at an US embassy will already serve China and Russian interests more than these Hohol shills here suggesting that China somehow needs to backstab Russia.
If you for a second doubt that Russia would not fuck over China but hard given half a chance you have not studied history. Right now it is USA vs Russia and China, 30 years ago it was Russia vs China and USA, before that it was China, USA and USSR vs Germany and Japan. Who knows where it will be 30 years hence? But Russia and China share a border, and have divergent interests....

“If the country small but the ruler doesn’t accept humble status; its forces weak but never fears the strong ; the country knows no ritual propriety, insults strong neighbors; greedy and obstinate but unskilful in diplomacy; such country deserves the downfall.” Han Fei 280 – 233 BC

韓非:國小而不處卑,力少而不畏強,無禮而侮大鄰,貪愎而拙交者,可亡也。

Small countries do not have the right to chose. Sorry about that. Ukraine did all that to themselves by being stupid and not applying political wisdoms known since 200BC.

I can't agree more with this. Something so obvious can't be that hard to understand. The Chinese higher ups official position and attitude towards this is already very obvious.

I have my doubt there will be an USA within next 30 years.

I dont want to argue with shills.

Go and read McKinder and his Heartland Theory.

Structural reasons aka. the very geography of the world determines that China and Russia will forever be the enemies of SeaPowers like US, UK and Japan, as well as their continental vassals.

There is no permanent friends, only permanent interests. I agree China should steadfastly support Russian against US, but there is also a reason why China is reluctant to sign a 'formal treaty alliance' like the Good Ole' Days.

Good catch; I’d like to speculate that it might belong to a Belarusian system given the Russians have used Islander and Kalibr thus far unless they haven’t been resupplied and said systems are inoperable.

Ukraine also has Tochkas, though. No idea if they work, though
