Seems like the convoy got lost and ended up in enemy territory.
Kharkiv has been giving Russia a hard fight

"According to a senior defense official, the US has indications that the Russians are increasingly frustrated by their lack of progress particularly in the north around Kyiv and Kharkiv. “The frustration seems to be predominantly from a stiff Ukrainian resistance.” @ckubeNBC"
Kharkiv was one of the most pro Russian regions left in Ukraine, they even had their own "Peoples Republic". Footage on youtube from there on youtube over the last few years makes it look like an occupied zone.

The Ukrainian units there are probably the most experienced. Most of the Russian losses seem to be coming from that region.

In 72 hours Russia has managed to turn itself into a financially isolated international pariah with a weaker-than-expected military. All this military op is just nonsense. Shit.

Realistically no one is going to invade Russia.
It still has either the greatest or second greatest nuclear stockpile in the world. So what if NATO expands into Ukraine?

I think that Putin kept the conflict minimal (minor border skirmishes) like many analysts have predicted then he could’ve achieved far better geopolitical outcome. Going all in like this is very detrimental to Russian interests.

Going forward Europe may no longer exist as an independent pole, and neither would Russia. Only long term beneficiaries are on the opposite sides of the Pacific.

I never understood why anybody would think NATO wanted Russia. I get it from a Russian perspective, they've been invaded many times, but NATO can barely be bothered to pay for it's own defense, let alone have any ambition for adventures.

Russian Air Force is very much not active over Ukraine ... Russian troops are advancing with minimum fire support. It seems They don't want to destroy Ukraine. Only its military structure. Very weird tactic. However, this is causing significant losses on Russian vehicles. It risk so many soldiers lifes.

China will likely refuse for this very reason. It is going to be an unequal treaty. China doesn't want a unequal treaty bearing it's name.

That is a good point. May likely end up being an unequal treaty, which would look bad. The UAE becomes the go-to. I think for same reason, India might not want to mediate since they have no interests to preserve in Ukraine and at the same time they could only piss of Russians.

This is not on purpose. The intel for years has been that Russia's ability to keep its front line weapons operational is not good (not to mention its ability to produce them). The longer this conflict grinds on, the worse it will get for Russia.
