I remember seeing reports about Russia using drones in Syria. I don't know why they didn't use them here. Maybe they underestimated Ukranian resistance?
Google maps traffic works by crowdsourcing andriod /maps users location data/gps /speed... each car has driver with a phone that provides data point
That means Russia hasnt blocked Ukraine internet, not even firewalled Google nor did any gps jamming...
That does gives credence to their demilitarization aim by keeping civilian infrastructure intact when possible.
