Russian arsenal can destroy 95% UK GDP and population plus have enough left over for 90%+ of entire North America and EU. Even if everyone launched at Russia they still win.
You trade 30 for 1 in GDP and 6 for 1 in population ($30 trillion GDP and 800 million lives for $1 trillion GDP and 150 million lives). Worth it?
This is why you don't back Russia into a corner. They have little to lose at this point. A strategic exchange means they win in both GDP and lives.
