Russia takes airpt near kiev, 18 IL78s dropped paratroopers, that's a lot of paratroopers!
Really confirmed that the 18 IL-78 launched the paratroopers? Sorry for the honest question, I'm not fully fluent in English and if that was stated in the video, I wouldn't know.

"The invasion of Ukraine marks the end of the post-Cold War order. It started in 1991 and ended in 2022. There were two main reasons:
1. Russia's inability to accept its humiliation.
2. The West's inability to find a solution to this problem"

It's not confirmed yet. The reports are the Russians landed more paratroopers and the Ukrainians are using artillery on the air field. The reporter is connecting the IL-76s with the reports of the paratroopers landing.

It's quite possible, even likely, but not yet confirmed, afaict.

Where's that CNN crew? ;)

George F. Kennan called NATO's expansion into Eastern Europe "the most fateful mistake of American policy in the entire post-Cold War era". Kennan, the architect of the US strategy to contain the Soviet Union after World War II, sounds like a prophet.

Retired US Army Colonel Doug McGregor urged to accept Russia's position on Fox News. He states after the invasion of Ukraine: "The first thing we have to do is accept Putin's point of view.

Accept not just Putin's point of view but that of all of Russia, which they held for all 25 years. One must accept that it is worth it. They don't want American and NATO troops on their borders. We didn't want them in Cuba, they don't want us at home. Everything is logical. We need to recognize this. Stop pretending it's not a problem," said the retired colonel.

Thanks. Yes, I had already mentioned those 18 aircraft that left an airfield in Russia towards Kiev. But so far, I have no further information about the position of these aircraft.

Must be in an air raid shelter by now.

It is bit complex, Russia can stop to sell gas and oil to anyone, and see how the lights turn off in Europe.

We are in a chaotic atractor, no one know what will happens next.

Doing the same thing again and again in Brussel will lead the same thing happens again and again on the Russian side.

Yeah, that is what I do not understand.

European history keeps on repeating itself, in the exact same way.

Of course, that is not entirely the case.

European history can change too.

After the last great war, as the story goes, France made a concerted effort to get close to Germany, in order to avoid the painful relations that lead to so many problems. It was an unnatural partnership, but after several generations now, we can say that strategy worked great.

IMHO, that is the solution here, it is between Russia and Germany. They have to get closer to each other, like France and Germany did, to avoid problems and work things out.

Some people in this world will not like that.

When the dust settles, we see where this is going.
