China is laughing all the way to the bank.

This conflict will raise inflation even more which will deepen the economic crisis in the West and thus making it more vulnerable to Chinese economic coercion

Meanwhile, Chinese Industry will be eating German/EU Industry's customers while at the same China will be gobbling up valuable Russian assets for pennies, get ultra cheap gas from Russia, and weaken quite a lot of Russian influence in Central Asia

People who think that China will care about a so called western boycott, are deluded. When people get poorer from high inflation, China gets an even bigger market share due to its cheap products.
@Overbom correct My Captain, congrats on your promotion Sir!

I imagine Ukraine is now busy blowing up bridges and railway embankments ahead of the Russian army advance. They are also likely keeping the majority of their forces in reserve until they get a full picture of the Russian battle plans. The deeper the Russians advance into Ukraine, the more precarious their logistics will get. Logistics (dependence on light trucks and over-reliance on artillery) is one of Russian weaknesses, as was put on display in 2014 and 2015 when their BTGs were defeated by Ukranian forces despite having an overmatch in firepower.

The only thing Ukraine will be doing is drawing down their strategic copium reserves.
