Political comments aside, this thread has been IMO exceptional on how many news have been posted here. However I also understand that given how fast people post here, it is challenging for mods to keep up with it.

Have you considered adding a temporary mod to exclusively moderate this thread?
I would gladly nominate you as mod for this thread @Overbom if i can lol

I'm not sure how exactly you could put nuclear weapons in the baltic region in a way that makes a difference as ICBM's deployed anywhere can already hit this area?

well they'll start deploying nukes in Belarus and Kalinigrad maybe. and doesnt always have to be ICBM's.. it can be kept for US.. but tactical nukes. Back to cold war era deployment of RSD-10 Pioneer and (short lived) RKV-500 Reliyef

Is that supposed to deter Sweden and Finland from joining NATO?

If yes, thats too weak and as such, Sweden/Finland are rightly proceeding towards joining NATO. No one is going to fear this move by Russia

As I said earlier, Russia has been proven to be a paper tiger in this "special military operation". If Russia is willing to trade Sweden/Finland joining NATO with merely stationing nukes closer to its border then this is a devastating strategic defeat for Russia.
