During the cold war Germany had around 4.000 Leopard (in - female version, Germany is a modern Western country) - tanks. Today the Bundeswehr can offer maybe 150 of these Leopard*innen - plural form) ready for combat. Problem: There is only ammunition for two days on stock.

So after that, the Leopard*innnen would start shooting with pink cotton balls until they opponents kill themselves laughing. Would be the perfect present for Elensky and his gang.

The British where ahead of their time to gender classify their tanks.

On the heroic saga of the Ukranian farmer brigade the most glorious Anti-tank unit in the world has now achieved a new standard
Whatever... plenty of tank everywhere in Ukraine to salvage. Same in Russia they have fields of them. That's some tanks left from URSS in Ukraine... multiple salvage yards like that. They are rugged soviet stuff and with some tech you are probably able to start 10% of them with just fuel, batteries and a couple of good hits with a large rock..

ISU-152 self properled Soviet howitzer start after 65 years.

Most likelly it took less than a day and say six person crew.

Most likelly the 10% is a serious underestimation .

As for Putin's delusions about Ukraine not being a real "state".. Congratulations, you played yourself. What better way to forge a state and a new national identity than a war of survival forcing people to band together.

Hopefully we won't have the displeasure of listening to that crap again. If Ukraine wasn't a united state before, it certainly is now.

Nothing unites a people than facing a invasion but in the end it won’t matter for Ukraine. They are going to lose this war. Russia will take the east and southern regions and form Novorussiya which will be a pro Russian state for Russian speakers. This will strengthen Ukrainian nationalism. Likely radicalize the populace to ultranationalism. There will be anger and bitterness between the two nations. Likely a cold peace will come from this. So there will be constant clashes and tensions. Even after the country is divided the western part of Ukraine will be hyper nationalistic and maybe even elect a far right wing govt on the hopes to get their lost territory back. The group that is ripe to join fascism after losing a war is the soldiers that fought and lost. These veterans are bitter, angry they lost the war. They’ve seen their friends died and seen intense fighting. So they will join right wing groups who will likely blame the political elites for surrendering. I don’t see how Russia will do de-nazification in the west. The neo nazis are strong in the west. Taking out the east, defeating the military will leave a political opening for them to take power. It’s very likely this won’t be the last Russia-Ukrainian war.

Indeed, but then there are some signs its no going fully their way. Like some of the EU countries still ended up electing a pro-Russian candidate like Hungary and anti-EU/NATO candidate Le Pen is gaining popularity.

Some of them are also negotiating for gas deals settling in rubbles, and almost all the sanctions don't have full cooperation from every EU member. I think we can all agree that the EU administration is completely controlled by US, and you can see how much they really want to put self-destructive sanctions on all the EU members.

All the narrative that EU is more united as ever, looks hollow to me. I think in the long run, some of the EU members might ended up having their own "Brexit", because of all these mess. Either way, anything that goes bad in EU, is a win for US.
The real storm is around the corner, the EU gold deposited in London. The article does not mention the amount but must be a fairly good chunk.
