Looks like another artillery ambush. The armored vehicles aren't moving, perhaps one of them broke down blocking the others, creating a fixed target. Or perhaps they stopped for lunch . Either way, the Ukrainian artillery is again their best asset and if Russia loses the war it'll be due to their inability to defend against these precision strikes.
Looks very strange. None of the tanks moved or reacted, no personnel trying to leave their tanks. Maybe its abandoned?

The birth of Ukrainian Nationalism as it is celebrated today has its origins in the 20th century. However, there are a few important historical highlights that should be known beforehand.

In part 1 of this series

, the question was posed “why does Ukraine seem to have so many Nazis nowadays?” In that paper we were led to the further question “is the United States and possibly NATO involved in the funding, training and political support of neo-Nazism in Ukraine and if so, for what purpose?” It was concluded that in order to answer such questions fully, we would have to look at the historical root of Ukrainian nationalism and its relationship with U.S. Intelligence and NATO post-WWII. It is here that we will resume.

Energy-backed ruble.... that little cocky Borrell has an admission to make.

Ruble has shown a strong resistance capacity – EU top diplomat

Josep Borrell acknowledges the resistance the Russian ruble has shown in the face of international sanctions

The EU’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, has commended the Russian ruble on its resilience in the face of international sanctions, imposed in light of the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine.

“The ruble has shown a strong resistance capacity. Putin now insists that they pay him for gas in rubles to maintain the currency. We’ll see what happens,“ Borrell told Spanish COPE outlet on Tuesday.

The statement comes as the ruble has recently made a recovery and bounced back almost to values seen just before the conflict began, despite the sweeping sanctions imposed by the West against Russia for its military operation in Ukraine.
Previously, the Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki used the ruble’s resilience as evidence of Western sanctions having no effect on Russia. “I must say this very clearly: The sanctions we have imposed so far don’t work. The best evidence is the ruble exchange rate,” said Morawiecki on Saturday

The strengthening of the ruble comes after Russia decided to switch to its national currency for gas payments when dealing with “unfriendly” countries, in an effort to secure Russia’s ability to trade and receive payments despite the economic sanctions imposed by the West against its foreign assets.

“Amid this growing distrust toward reserve currencies [US dollar and euro], the president put forward the idea of the necessity of hedging risks so that [Western states] would not try to rob us again. And therefore we introduced this [mechanism] of payments in rubles … for the most important commodities. In this case, we are talking about natural gas,” explained Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, adding that the move did not aim to “punch anyone in the nose.”

Russia’s proposal to have its gas paid for in rubles did not sit well with the EU and many of its members have outrightly declined the proposal. However, after the Kremlin declared that all existing contracts would be halted unless the payments were received in rubles, some European nations such as Slovakia – which is still heavily reliant on Russian energy imports – decided they would abide by Moscow’s new rules.

That is Rosgvardiya i.e. their equivalent of PAP so it makes sense that they use some civilian grade kit.
I personally think they should have bought optics and night sights abroad for the regular army as well. But government procurement shouldn't allow that to happen easily.

BTR-82A light tank pounding Ukrainian defenders in Mariupol
Man, he is cutting trees down with the autocannon. That is some nasty stuff.
This LAV upgrade they made to the BTR is pretty effective and cheap. It basically has no armor but that turret is pretty effective.

I think that even without events like Bucha, the Ukrainian population will eventually hate the Russian because of the war disrupting their daily life and killing their own people. The more this conflict prolongs, the more those resentment and anger turns into hatred, and from that hatred it turns into a scar for the relation between the population for generation to come.

I think this factor will sadly escalate the degree of violence in the battlefield and make the idea Russians have that Ukrainians are "brothers" turn into nothing. Putin went in the war trying to minimize the casualties because he wants to win the Ukrainian populace's hearts, and to cater to the domestic majority in Russia that sees Ukraine as Russians.

If all these previous emotions are gone, either because Russia is losing or the Russian majority have gotten disillusioned. We may unfortunately see them turn to more high-collateral means of winning their battles.
I think you miss my point
Ever since the beginning of the conflict I have been asking, where are the Ethnic Russian militants of the sort that started the Donbas uprisings in the other Russian parts of the country? They were savagely repressed at the time and failed to rise as most expected when the Russians started their special military operation on Feb 24th.

In the meantime we have seen the punishment beatings and humiliations handed out to Russian speakers (and other minorities) throughout the country. Add to this the growing awareness of a human shields policy and now punishment killings of ethic Russians as suspected collaborators in re-occupied towns such as Bucha, this could be the spark that reignites widespread sectarian conflict between Ethnic Russian and Non Ethnic Russian Ukrainians. Such a conflict would rage separate to the front lines of the National Armies and continue to be waged, long after the National Conflict is brought to an end.

Anybody who grew up in the UK during the "troubles" in Northern Ireland will know what I am talking about, except the Ukraine will make Northern Ireland look like a Vicars Tea Party.

Well on an active front line just a stones throw from a Capital City. I would imagine that countries were sending their satellites over pretty much every five minutes. Overboom has a point though. The Russians should have images of their own or at least be able to add context.
Maybe this is what will happen at the UN today.
I have seen the videos posted a few pages back, showing people driving around during the intervening days last week.
Maybe this story will disappear just as quickly as Mariupol once the facts start to get public.

Sure everyone would be watching Kiev, but would every little insignificant crossroad town along that front all get such VIP treatment? Satellites are not cheap to reposition after all.

" German Foreign Ministry: there are hardly weapons left in the warehouses of the Bundeswehr that can be sent to Ukraine"
China should tweet back, ‪Fear not Germany! China has full stockpiles in its military warehouses it can send in at any time, so keep asking nicely like you have been doing, and it won’t be long before they are dispatched. ‬
