Re: Type 95 assault rifle

Ive been looking into it and there is a russian assault rifle prototype where the ejection port is just an oblong whole and the cassings are pushed forward out and awy from the shooter. I would be willing to bet this could be incorperated into the T95 relativly easily. For the carry handle mounted optic both regular scope and red dot should be availible. Keep in mind that a red dot will need battries if its not tritium powered and that can have an effect on logistics aswell
, plus givein the size of the PLA, a red dot could be prohibitivly expensive.

Is the russian prototype assault rifle a normal configuration or bullpup configuration?

It is a bull pup. Here is an article about it.

That is a bizzare assault rifle and integral 40mm grenade launcher layout. Most convential layout is that the grenade launcher is attached underneath the barrel while this A-91 prototype assault rifle has the grenade launcher attached above the barrel. Whats the gain in this? Wouldn't this obsecure the shooters field of view? Also what ever happened to the Type 95 Carbine version? Any pictures of the PLA ground force operating them?

I have a question, myself.

Is this the exact replica, used in the game "Counter-Strike" as the Clarion 5.56? If so, when fired... Does it exactly perform the same?

I know in CS, that the M4A1 is better than the AK-47, which is not entirely true in real life. So I'm wondering if the performance of the Type 95 Rifle is the same as the Clarion? To me, in CS, the Clarion is really a shitty gun with a 25 bullet fire/reload.

The CS clarion is FAMAS, a French Rifle, and the French Soldier seems to be happy with it. I actually find that rifle prettty good to use, accurate and have enough power, at least in the Game:) .

The FAMAS saw service in 1991 in Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm and in other various peacekeeping missions afterwards. French troops found the weapon to be reliable and trustworthy under combat conditions. The FAMAS was affectionately known as clairon ("bugle", because of its shape) amongst French troops in the late 70s-early 80s, but this practice is no longer current. An improved version of the FAMAS is integrated in the Félin system.

Senegal and the United Arab Emirates had received a small amount of FAMAS rifles (possibly F1) from France, though it was unknown when they had received them. Djibouti also uses this weapon in its military as the standard arm for footsoldiers.

The rifle (G2) was known to be exported to the Philippines, where it saw service with the Special Action Force and certain army units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

Re: Type 95 assault rifle

The FAMAS assault rifle weighs around 3.8 kg which is pretty heavey compared to some present assault rifles such as the Type 95 weighs around 3.4 kg empty. Why doesn't the Type 95 LSW variant have a C-mag drum with 100 rounds instead of the ordinary drum with 75 rounds? I mean it has more ammo.

Re: Type 95 assault rifle

You can not use the beta C mag for a bullpup because the case would make it akward for the user to fire properly. A regular 30 and 75 round mags are already in an uncomfortable. Start rolling out the 03's and ditch the 95's.
