Do you guys think that the Type 076 can ever be exported? Just curious.
I think it would be more effective for China to help other countries build their own, either overtly or not. The multi-polar world means countries like Turkey have ambitions of this magnitude, there is lots of countries that must be thinking about doing what Turkey is doing with their defense industries and capabilities.

If China keeps building up others capabilities then even if the US goes to war with China and wins at great cost, afterwards there could be half a dozen military powers in the global south with a similar defense capability to the post-war USA, which is a huge deterrent.

This seems pretty likely to me, as UGVs get bigger and smarter and intelligent (e.g. with on board AI chips) they might prefer to carry them on a 076 which may be designed for them rather than a 075 which is designed for regular army vehicles.

For example, maybe the parking spots have chargers.
If something is unmanned or not has little bearing with if it is an EV or not. AFVs aren't going EV anytime soon. I also don't see why the 075 would have problems with launching UGVs, or why UGVs would require special design choices.

Of course the ultimate reason for building Amphibious Ships is to prepare for amphibious assault in case of a Taiwan, SCS or Diaoyu Island scenario, or to deter your opponent from making a stupid move by displaying your capabilities.

But the 076 is a relatively large and expensive vessel which will most likely saw most if not all of her service life conducting peace time training. It will be a waste if we just let her sitting idle in her home port waiting for the next exercise like the old 072 LSTs. That’s why I think it is important to incorporate the capabilities for operating light manned fighters like the JL-10s or even J-35s for conducting interception and show-the-flag missions during peace time and act as a back-up landing spot for carrier fighters during war.

They need all their type 076s to install the cables for the J-35 to land on the ship.

EVs are much heavier than ICE vehicles. Not a good idea to use the tech for amphibious vehicles.
