The Turks have an interesting naval build-up strategy.

They basically flood their shipyards with orders and in order to finance these ships, they sell some of them off to others. This way, they fund their own projects, keep their shipyards busy and continuously improve, modernize and enlarge their navy at the same time.

Hitting multiple birds with one stone.

Hahaha, I was always suspicious but never sure who are the owners of some regular-user-like accounts. It seems for some time, the MIC has been working for the gains of an elite group with their cronies instead of the country, and their paid con(t/s)ent creators are hard at work.

Export deals are one of the greetest aim for any country that can't afford to build economy of scale with itself alone, and that's every country except china and USA.

South korea sometimes advance export deals over thier local army to secure the deal and gain more scale in exchange of waiting a little more.

And this way is way better than sticking with your own, until you can't afford to buy the initial number of units then you decide to lower the number of units, which in case you does make unit price way larger because you devide the R&D costs over a smaller number, then you won't be able to export because your system is incompetitive because its price and you don't have the capacity to make it in scale.

Every country can deal with these issues differently, but acting as this is some kind of corruption or stupidity...etc, is just plain zero value discussion.

Discussions with Saudi Arabia on Kaan and Gokbey are at the 'highest' level. 20-50 Kaans are being discussed potentially going to 100. The higher figures are essential for a domestic production line.

Also a new EW pod for UAVs, ANTIDOT 3U-200:

A memorandum of understanding was signed between TUSAŞ and the Saudi Arabia Investment Ministry and the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) regarding the joint production of the GÖKBEY Utility Helicopter in Saudi Arabia:

• The memorandum of understanding includes long-term, high-technology joint production with significant gains
• The two Saudi institutions will collect helicopter demands for various needs in military and civilian fields. In line with this demand, TUSAŞ and a local manufacturer will carry out the production of the helicopters in Saudi Arabia
• The scope and details of the joint production will take shape according to the demands
• Helicopter systems hold an important place in Saudi Arabia's 2030 localization targets
• The GÖKBEY's structure, suitable for different roles, played a significant role in Saudi Arabia's preference
The jointly produced helicopters can also be sold to neighboring countries
