as you said, TF-6000 first prototype assembled and they tested then dissemble and again assembling process start for further testing.

Under the project initiated by the Secretariat of Defense Industries (SSB) and carried out under the responsibility of TEI, Türkiye’s first military turbofan engine, TF6000, has been successfully tested. Designed to acquire technology and demonstrate capabilities on the path to the engine of Türkiye's first fighter aircraft, KAAN, the TF6000 was engineered to have the characteristics of an advanced military turbofan engine.

first prototype assembling started in late 2022

my point is, they are still on 6000 lbf thrust engine being second unit assembling. how on earth they already produced 39,000-40,000 lbf engine and integrated too with KAAN for testing fuselage dimension. before integrating with aircraft, such engine go through with long process of different set of ground testing then engine will integrate with aircraft for final stretch. i m sure you know it very well.

this is such a huge claim .. no doubt Turkey is working on it.

@Radonislav
A general rule of thumb within Turkish defence community is that never believe what anyone else besides officials say on live TV. Senile, retired generals making unbased claims on TV to make a buck are literally dime a dozen over here.

Even then, I'm not dropping names but we had some officials in the past who'd try to dumb down their explanations to their crowd and this would cause frequent misunderstandings among us.

-------

Aside from that, there have been rumors that a mockup of the TF35000 engine might be revealed to us in next year's IDEF fair. It's obviously nothing official though so don't hold your breath...

thanks for the information.

this is very much possible. a mock up of TF35000 with some kind of information about project.. but yeah waiting for IDEF fair.

@Radonislav

Kaan engine is being developed by TRMotor. While TEI provides a major part of the engineering input, it ain't a TEI project. Ivchenko-Progress was involved from the beginning and still is.

yeah you have already told me.. its great

but my point was different. integrating with aircraft is such a big big claim. TRMotor might be in advance stages of development and component manufacturing. and could be near of assembling first prototype. but it will still take years before engine first integrate with aircraft..

btw, i always wanted to ask you about Engine testing facilities ?? curious to know. where are Turkish Turbofan engine testing facilities and are you guys planning to build high altitude test bench facility ?

@Radonislav Eray Güçlüer is back again at ULKE. He claims:

- Kaan will conduct the 3rd flight which will be a long distance one and conduct firing tests while commanding drones(!)
- The indigenous engine has been build and is being integrated into Kaan to see where modifications need to take place in the fuselage. The thrust is claimed to be in the 39.000-40.000 lbf range.

Disregard him

He was also at Haber Global and said the same things with a bit more detail.

Kaan will fly to another place to conduct firing and MUMT tests together with drones. He also said that the flight ceiling and max speed is more than what is stated, max speed (will be) higher than Mach 2.3:

@sunnymaxi

Let me add this. Perhaps it can be explained that the engine is a metal detailed mock-up which is designed especially for integration purposes (as well as other design and development purposes) and not to be test-fired. The same thing happened to the BATU powerpack, they constructed a detailed mock-up for integration into the Altay: Turkey Military News, Reports, Data, etc.

Also keep in mind that the development of the engine is divided in several parts. IMO the fan and afterburner sections is done primarily by TRMotor with IvP support, while the core is primarily the task of TEI.

Looks like they are using IvP software for the afterburner. You can see a convergent-divergent nozzle design. (Disregard the F110 flowchart)

I guess this rumor really started with me lol, whole IDEF-25 TF-35k is just a possibility that I said to a friend and somehow it spread around like it is some insider info

This might be true for 2nd or 3rd prototypes but not for this flight 3
