Are there any availble resources where one can read about the history of aircraft and aircraft components manufacturing and development in Turkey?.

I was aware Turkey made parts for the F-16 and the F-4, as far as I am aware, but I'm curious in how they seem to be overtaking India in many projects despite the fact that the latter seemed to have been going at it longer and with more help.

Indian bureaucracy is slow and its reason for existence is basically to throw a wrench in any sort of project. Turkish (political) managers are one of the best and don't allow any such buffoonery.

Besides their bureaucracy, their military leadership is also to blame because foreign acquisition provides a lot of opportunity to receive bribes as opposed to domestic projects. You should've seen how Indian netizens tore a previous head of their artillery to pieces on twitter for daring to open his mouth at the poor state of their SPG capability (for which he was responsible).

IMO the bribe thing is why they are now going for a Pantsir cooperation with the Russians while their own QRSAM is more or less ready for serial production.

SLV is where they shine. The rest is bull****

TL;DR Indians are utterly inept, the Turks in comparison (at least for the last two decades) are the polar opposite.

- Baykar singed a contract with Croatia for 6 TB2, worth $91 million.

- Hürjet P2 has had several improvements and is now much closer to the state in which they want it to be. 2026 is still the target date for the first delivery. There is serious interest in the Hürjet from several countries, even from across the Atlantic ocean.

I remember reading some kind of academic publication on economics. Bribery in itself is not really an impediment. Bribery exists in all political apparatuses whether it's the US, China, or India. The issue is when the bribery is not productive. There's an expectation that when you pay a bribe, something will get done. Usually in the US and China, this is the case. In India, you basically endlessly pay bribes.

QRSAM is not very good is the issue. It's huge and short ranged.
