TS1400 capable of reaching 1740hp in OEI (One Engine Inoperative) mode:
Our first national helicopter engine, TEI-TS1400, which we developed under the auspices of our Presidency of Defense Industries ( ), successfully completed the 6-hour attrition tests carried out in accordance with the EASA CS-E 740 endurance tests, 15 times in a row. Following these tests, the final power limits of the TEI-TS1400 engine were tested within the scope of the helicopter's single engine emergency landing (OEI: One Engine Inoperative) scenario. The national engine, which was worn out by hundreds of hours of difficult tests before and after the first flight, reached a power level of 1740 HP and successfully passed the same test in a second repetition. With this historic test, the TEI-TS1400 engine proved that it can provide all the power that GÖKBEY Helicopter will need in the most challenging conditions.

Launched under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries, Turkey's first fully domestic and national helicopter engine TEI-TS1400 continues its maturation tests for the serial production phase after its first manned flight successfully completed on April 19, 2023. Our national engine had successfully passed hundreds of tests required by both TEI and TUSAŞ Flight Suitability Committees before its first flight and gained manned flight approval. Our national engine, coded TS8, which completed its first flight without any problems, successfully completed the 6-hour attrition tests performed in accordance with the requirements of EASA CS-E 740 Endurance tests 15 times in a row after hundreds of challenging tests.
After more than a dozen CS-E 740 tests specially designed to wear out, the ultimate power limits of our TS8 coded engine were tested within the scope of the single engine emergency landing (OEI: One Engine Inoperative) scenario that pushes the limits of the engine, and our national engine, which was worn out with hundreds of hours of difficult tests before and after the first flight, showed a serious performance and reached a power level of 1740 HP. The national engine continued to produce power at the emergency level for 30 seconds under OEI conditions in accordance with EASA rules and successfully passed the same test in a second repetition. With this historical test, our TEI-TS1400 engine also showed that it can provide all the power that our GÖKBEY helicopter will need in the most difficult conditions.

Do you guys know if serial production of Altay started in the new factory or the old one? New factory seems complete from outside. Of course we don't know how it is inside.
