Such high amount of $ combined with the fact that the Saudi's want local production as part of their 2030 vision, I bet they want the Kaan too.

It fits their airforce perfectly, replacing the oldest F-15's while having the same engine as the rest of their F-15 fleet. Basically a more advanced and stealthy F-15.

Kaan is just the beginning, there have been statements issued that TAI is working on 6th gen, but also on a smaller Kaan slightly larger than an F-16, most likely single engined which can compete with the F-35 and Su-75 on the global market. This isn't a concrete plan yet, but has been mentioned by Temel Kotil twice now. Once in an interview in may last year and more recently after the first flight.

TAI Deputy General Manager Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Öztürk:

- Production of the second prototype of KAAN started. Parts are being produced. After the prototypes mature, mass production begins. The number of these prototypes will increase to 8.
- Now we are also preparing the infrastructure for how to produce 20 KAANs. We are building an ecosystem. We design a supply chain for all kinds of risks.
- You finish the plane, but if you cannot establish a good supply chain, you cannot mass produce it. You cannot reach the desired figures and prices. We consider all of these. In the future, thousands of companies will take part in this ecosystem.

TF2000 latest specs. Looks like a hybrid 052D/055:

It now has 80 VLS instead of 64.
