There seems to be enough space between the hardpoints to fit 6 UMTAS Launchers. 24 UMTAS+launchers is 24*37,5+6*60=1260kg

Out of curiosity, why it is so big?.

Reminds me a bit of the Rooivalk with its incredibly big and flat sides.
It was to have a MTOW of 9 tons but for some reasons (some speculate because of the Navy) they upped it to 11-12 tons.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put in some side doors like the Hind for troops/cargo/ extra fuel/simit etc.

it is large but it ain't that large and spacious, bro.

When I see that picture it clearly look like a testbed and not the final product. Look at that empty volume !

Those are just missing panels for safety and quick response if anything happen


Apart from that, this proto will mainly be used for flight characteristics and systems, we will see other subsystems (DIRCM, EOs, Radar etc) on different prototypes until it enters service

Because it is. It is meant to be an engine+transmission test rig because once they perfect these, they're going to use them on both the T929 attack and the T925 (10t utility) helicopters.
