But this too is again vastly different… and anyway looks more like a bad caricature of a fighter. :(

I wouldn't call it "vastly" different from the final prototype. For example, the canopy matches, the intakes match, the nose shape matches too. The only thing that looks different is the radome size. But overall the prototype looks just like the cockpit mockup shown at Farnborough 2022 as compared to the mockup shown at Paris Air Show 2019.

No Deino, we did have a hot discussion about what the MMU will eventually look like. And again, you were/are wrong. I'm not going to spoonfeed you by directly linking to the said discussion, but I'll quote CasualObserver:

Why again this discussion on who is wrong and who is right? As if it is a contest? And even if we had a discussion, this does not change, that what we see now is vastly different to what was shown - as you claimed, already announced - but also what was leaked in the meantime since then and what I - as a personnel opinion - expected!

So to tell me I am "wrong again" since this prototype differs to what I expected is a bit lame ...

Ok, but again based on my expectations - and in fact the cockpit-mock at Farnborough 2022 is IMO still more a caricature than anything realistic, it is different and indeed, vastly!

And this "vastly" is even so much different even more after the first images showing the top fuselage looked simply gorgeous, that I start questioning certain details ... But again, let's wait for more.

Well, it was a cockpit mockup with a functional wide angle MFD, side stick controller and instrumentation. It was not a simulator, but it was as realistic as any other cockpit mockup. However, the point is, the design of the front fuselage of the final prototype matches that of the Farnborough mockup.

as far as details go, I think the difference you noticed is due to the low picture quality in the new pic.

Sorry to contradict! That cockpit is nothing but a generic "so may a cockpit look like" exactly like we have seen so many similar models and mock ups on airshows all over the world. It's for show, but not a 1:1 representative of the real one.

And concerning the nose's shape! It is so much off both in shape and size of the radar, taht IMO we shouldn't overrate such models. They serve for show, nothing more. Again - and that's my opinion not to downrate anything but just as an opinion based on my observation: We have seen similar far from accurate models on airshows - just look at that strange FC-31/J-31 model that is on show since years which nearly only outer shape similar, but not exactly and that's fine.

But to decide how the real one looks like, we need more images.

Refinements were obviously expected and will continue to be made even after the first prototype is build. But what you seem to have missed, and what I have actually been trying to tell you here is that the design change of the front fuselage we see on the prototype has been public since July 2022.

A true showcase of success in the defense industry:

SOM Missile is quite known among followers of the Turkish defense industry. It is a truly modern cruise missile with very low flight, significantly reduced RCS, IR camera and automatic target recognition and even selection. The problem was that most subsystems were of foreign origin which prevented exports and limited its range below 290 km. That problem is no more starting with 2023.

Engine start pyrotechnics, turbojet engine, synthetic fuel, fuse, GPS antenna and receiver, gyro and accelerometer, IR sensor, IR window and lenses, sensor cooling, radar altimeter, pressure sensor and barometric altimeter, the warhead, fuel tank pressurization system, electric motors and actuator devices are all becoming Turkish.

Highlights from Temel Kotil's Interview(was a short interview);

- First GOKBEY will be delivered in a few months (Q1 2023)
- Talks are ongoing with 4 countries w.r.t ATAK helicopter export.
- ATAK helicopter has two-way data link with ANKA drones and can use the targeting system of the UCAV when firing a missile.
- (Speaking about TF-X) "We struggled a lot with the design of the aircraft but the manufacturing was very fast. That success is partially due to our previous work for AIRBUS and BOEING. We got our hands dirty.."
- We have hired 1600 engineers and 1200 technicians in 2022. At the end of 2023, we will have 16.000 employees. Half of them will be engineers and the other half will be technicians.
- ATAK II will fly in the first months of 2023. It is about to be finished.

Thanks to @rodeo
