Turkey can buy chips from China in the future, same like all other countries, no worries about that...

Yes Russia has imported from China some CPUs with aerospace applications after the blanket EU ban post 2014. Depending on how sophisticated the chip is, however, the U.S. can still choke China easily by banning the process, tools, or US IP involved.

That is admittedly true. China is a very viable option for procuring semiconductors but i'd like to see Turkey source semi fabrication equipment and set up its own fabs to manufacture CPUs, FPGAs, DSPs, ICs etc. Entering the global semiconductor industry should be a priority for Turkey. This is a trillion dollar industry and growing

@sequ I read a Chinese article quoting Jane’s defense today that ULAQ successfully completed a missile test against a target onshore. However, I can’t find the original article in English and info on missile/range/target of the test. Do you have more info on this?

I don't have the specifics of range but the missiles fired were Cirit missiles during a massive naval exercise. The first footage released about the test was from a Cirit missile equipped with an inert warhead but the second footage shown was live warhead test.

Nice! I think this is the first disclosed missile test from an unmanned naval vessel.
