Wow well this is a pretty insane article. How can some people be so selfish to put their baby in danger for a chance at a green card?

““We were counting on our child being born here,” said Varun, who along with his wife Priya (names changed) moved to the US eight years ago on H-1B visas. “We’ve been waiting for our green cards for six years. This was the only way to ensure stability for our family. We are terrified of the uncertainty.” Priya, 34, is due to give birth in early March.

A 28-year-old finance professional said his plans would go haywire if his dependant wife were to give birth to their first child after the deadline.

“We sacrificed so much to come here. Now, it feels like the door is closing on us,” the H-1B holder said, still a few months away from parenthood.”
I recall a scandal some time ago involving the upper leadership of the ROC that was a bit similar...

Wow what a coincidence. This new rule comes up and the first ones to go screeching about it aren't even Mexicans but Indians.

Pretty telling isn't it?

Saudi Arabia loves Trump, as their massive investment shows. I think India is going to be very disappointed in what Trump actually brings to the table, since immigration to America seems to be their biggest concern.
I'm glad so many Chinese are neutral. China doesn't depend on foreign leaders either screwing up or giving favors.

I think the only reason the favorable percentage is so high is because many Chinese people saw him as the main reason that made China as a whole get off its ass and become more self-reliant which got us to where we are today. I remember how we used to joke that what Donald and Biden did in just 4 years was more than what the CPC tried to do in 20. We joke but there is some truth in that.

The funny thing is that there is an arguable reason for liking, hating, and being neutral regarding Donald. He kinda just threw everything into the kitchen sink(China).

I don't understand why Indians worship Trump so much. Trump has dealt with so many sycophant bootlickers before. He can stand them if they have a talent but he dislike those who don't coz they contribute no value and are the first to run away or backstab when things get tough.

Trump is not going to magic worship the ground Modi steps on. We know that coz he was there in the first term and even though he started a fight with China, it's not like he gave much to India. If anything China is in a stronger position now so he's more likely to make some sort of deal
