You know what is crazy, if you actually look at federal spending you can cut entire agencies and still not balance the budget. You could cut the entire Department of Defense and still not have a balanced budget! I am not sure what it will take, but if you are serious about balancing the federal budget in the US it would take some serious reform.

Also, the things that DOGE and MAGA Republican's are cutting or thinking about cutting are things like education and health care related funding. Things absolutely essential to building a modern, competitive high technology economy.

They should cut everything and just sell fentanyl / launch crypto coins for a couple of year to balance the budget.
