250 million iPhones were shipped by Apple in 2024, Americas sales (US is the greatest contributor) is 40% of revenues. That is roughly 100m phones.
If we assume this persons number of “tens of thousands sold since 2018” as 10,000 per year, and he is employing 12 people, that is about 800+ phones per worker. To make 100m phones would require 120,000 workers in a single factory. The current largest factory in the US employs is Boeing with 30,000 workers, so you would have to somehow get 4X the number of workers, all in one place… An entire midsize US city of just factory workers. How realistic is this?
